Special Operations Forces repel assault of DPRK soldiers in Kursk Oblast. 18 fighters destroyed
Soldiers of the Special Operations Forces (SOF) repelled the assault of North Korean soldiers (DPRK) in the Kursk Oblast. The enemy suffered losses. This is stated in the message of the Special Operations Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
As reported, the assault of North Korean troops lasted from morning until night in the Kursk Oblast. During this time, rangers of the 6th SOF regiment destroyed 17 DPRK soldiers, and one of them blew himself up with a grenade.
In the morning, a SOF clearing group moved forward, which came across one surviving DPRK soldier. He set an unsuccessful trap for the rangers of the 6th regiment.
The North Korean fighter tried to mislead the SOF soldiers and blow himself up with them on a grenade. When the SOF rangers approached him, he blew himself up.
The SOF soldiers noticed the danger in time and quickly withdrew from the affected area. No one was injured.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on January 12, 140 combat clashes took place on the front, with the hottest being on the Pokrovsk axis, where 58 clashes were recorded.
Also, on January 10, 213 combat clashes took place on the front, a third of which were on the Pokrovsk axis (72 clashes), and it was also hot on the Lyman (39 clashes) and Kramatorsk (32 clashes) axes.
