NACB Director Kryvonos has conflict of interest: his wife heads firms of criminal authority wanted by Bureau – military serviceman

The wife of the Director of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NACB) Semen Kryvonos turned out to be the head of a number of firms belonging to one of the leaders of a Kryvyi Rih criminal group, Eduard Samotkal, who is wanted by the Bureau. This is a direct conflict of interest, – wrote blogger, military serviceman Volodymyr Boyko.

"Kryvonos's family – his wife, his wife's sister and even his mother-in-law – have long and fruitfully served the Kryvyi Rih criminal group "Dvadtsiativski", one of the leaders of which is Eduard Samotkal, a very colorful businessman with many convictions, who is currently wanted by the NACB in the case of embezzlement of funds from the South Ukraine Nuclear Power Plant," – Boyko wrote.

He listed the firms headed by Kryvonos's wife – Halyna Polshynska.

"Halyna Oleksandrivna Polshynska, who was the director of the companies DAAR company s.r.o. (Czech Republic) and Business Perspective Alfa, s.r.o. (Czech Republic), owned by Samotkal Eduard Viktorovych and his wife Ruslana Oleksandrivna, and was also the director of LLC "Innovative Technological Products", owned by Samotkal Ruslana Oleksandrivna, and headed the Kyiv representative office of the company Business Perspective Alfa, s.r.o., owned by Samotkal Eduard Viktorovych, is the wife of the current Director of the NACB Semen Kryvonos," he noted.

He recalled that until recently, the NACB Director Semen Kryvonos was known only for being wanted in 2009, being brought to criminal responsibility and convicted of bribing students in local elections in Kyiv and the Kyiv Region.

"But on March 6, 2023, the criminal authority Eduard Samotkal pulled out a truly lucky ticket: the husband and son-in-law of his trusted people became the Director of the NACB. After which the so-called anti-corruption activists instantly stuck their tongues in their asses and are no longer interested in why the NACB has not yet achieved the deportation of the embezzler of funds from the South Ukraine NPP to Ukraine and has not even detained Samotkal's accomplices – the mother and daughter of the Polshynskys," the blogger emphasized.

Boyko suggested that there is corruption or a conflict of interest of the NACB Director Kryvonos. He was also surprised by the silence of anti-corruption activists Shabunin and Nikolov.

Earlier it was reported that an audit of the activities of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine would be conducted only in the last months of its work, and not from the moment of its creation. According to political expert Oleksandr Kochetkov, this was done in order not to acknowledge internal corruption, inefficiency, and illegal actions of the NACB leadership.
