AFU eliminate 2,010 occupiers, 29 armored vehicles and 44 artillery systems. General Staff names russia’s losses over day
Over the past day, December 29, the losses of the aggressor country of the russian federation (RF) in the war against Ukraine amounted to 2,010 units of manpower. The Defense Forces also destroyed seven tanks.
This was reported on the Facebook page of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).
The total combat losses of the enemy from February 24, 2022 to December 30, 2024 were approximately:
- personnel - about 787,940 (+2,010) people eliminated;
- tanks - 9,663 (+7) units;
- armored combat vehicles - 20,003 (+22) units;
- artillery systems - 21,494 (+44) units;
- MLRS - 1,256 units;
- air defense systems - 1,032 units;
- aircraft - 369 units;
- helicopters - 329 units;
- UAVs of operational-tactical level - 21,069 (+31) units;
- cruise missiles - 3,003 units;
- ships/boats - 28 units;
- submarines - 1 unit;
- automotive equipment and tanker trucks - 32,551 (+141) units;
- special equipment - 3,670 units.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, last day, on December 28, Ukrainian defenders eliminated another 1,730 russian occupiers, and also destroyed 5 tanks and 42 artillery systems.
Earlier, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi named russia's losses in the war in 2024. They exceeded 421,000 troops. According to him, this year the russians paid the highest price since the beginning of their invasion of Ukraine.
