Russia attacks Ukraine with drones at night. Over which region air battle takes place

Overnight into Thursday, December 26, russian troops launched 31 drones over the territory of Ukraine, air defense forces managed to shoot down 20 drones, another 11 UAVs did not reach their targets.

The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced this on the Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

It is noted that on the night of December 26 (from 07:00 p.m. on December 25), the enemy attacked with 31 Shahed attack UAVs and drones of other types from the directions of Oryol and Millerovo (both - the russian federation).

"As of 08:30 a.m., the shooting down of 20 Shahed attack UAVs and drones of other types in the Kharkiv, Kyiv, Chernihiv and Dnipropetrovsk Regions has been confirmed. Due to the active countermeasures of the Defense Forces, 11 enemy simulator drones were lost in location (without negative consequences)," the report says.

The air attack was repelled by anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, mobile fire groups of the Air Force and Defense Forces of Ukraine.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on Christmas Day, December 25, the aggressor country of russia launched more than 70 missiles and 100 drones at Ukraine. More than 50 missiles and a significant part of the drones were shot down.
