Zelenskyy expects changes in training of mobilized soldiers
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy expects the modernization of military training in training centers.
The Office of the President has said this in a statement, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
It is noted that in the Zaporizhzhia Region, Zelenskyy discussed with battalion and company commanders changes in the training of mobilized soldiers and the provision of units with drones.
"In particular, it was about the training of mobilized soldiers. The Head of State noted that he expects changes in training centers. In addition, it is necessary to provide an opportunity to undergo basic combined-arms training under the guidance of brigade instructors and commanders, with whom the military will directly carry out combat missions," the report says.
Separate and detailed attention was paid to the provision of drones and work with them. Zelenskyy instructed the Cabinet of Ministers and the Ministry of Defense to close the urgent needs of units and continue to do so every month.
In addition, they discussed the development of a system for countering enemy reconnaissance drones. There are successful results, it was agreed to scale them to other military units.
It is noted that the Deputy Head of the Presidential Office, Colonel Pavlo Palisa, will be in constant communication with the commanders in order to achieve maximum results in the issues that were agreed to be resolved.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on Thursday, Zelenskyy visited the HIMARS division in the Zaporizhzhia Region.
At the end of November, Zelenskyy announced that the new Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleh Apostol, will be responsible for improving the training of the Ukrainian military.
Earlier, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, announced that in December he would make a decision on a new model of basic general military training.
On November 29, Zelenskyy appointed Pavlo Palisa, the commander of the 93rd Kholodnyi Yar Separate Mechanized Brigade, as the deputy head of the Office of the President. Zelenskyy then noted that he is a combat commander, he understands well what is happening in the brigades, at the front, and he needs exactly such a person to know exactly the information directly from the front on a daily basis.
