Ukraine to receive half a million shells by yearend - Czech Foreign Ministry

Ukraine will receive 500,000 shells of various calibers by the end of this year as part of a Czech initiative.

Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavský announced this at a joint press conference with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha on Friday, November 22, Ukrinform reports.

Lipavský noted that the Czech Republic will continue to provide support to Ukraine to repel and stop russian aggression.

"As you know, my country has launched an initiative on ammunition. By the end of the year, 500,000 large-caliber shells will be delivered. We will not stop there. We will continue to provide the Armed Forces of Ukraine with the necessary support," the Czech Foreign Minister emphasized.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on September 26, Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavský called on not to succumb to new russian intimidation with nuclear weapons.

On July 22, Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavský announced that Ukraine would receive 100,000 artillery shells in July and August under the Czech initiative.

As a reminder, on June 25, it became known that the first batch of ammunition had arrived in Ukraine under the Czech initiative.
