Energy sustainability passport will be created for each region - Zelenskyy
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the creation of energy sustainability passports for each region of Ukraine.
He said this at the presentation of the Resilience Plan in the Verkhovna Rada, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"By the end of the year, energy sustainability passports will be prepared in our Ukrainian regions. This is the first time in Ukraine that all regions will be able to withstand all challenges in the energy sector," Zelenskyy noted.
According to him, the implementation of passports from the point of view of generation and electricity will begin next year, and special attention will be paid to the decentralization of generation. Zelenskyy also outlined further prospects for the development of the energy sector.
"Thanks to its capabilities in the energy sector, our country can be a geopolitical hub of Europe. Of course, this applies to the time after this war to a greater extent. But we must create the prerequisites for this now," the head of state emphasized.
As Ukrainian News Agency reported, earlier the Ukrenergo national energy company reported that on November 18, stabilization power outages will be in effect in all regions of Ukraine.
The reason for the temporary return of restrictions is damage to energy facilities during a massive missile and drone attack on November 17.
On the night of November 17, russia launched a massive combined strike on Ukrainian energy facilities with air-, land- and sea-based missiles, as well as Shahed-type strike drones.
