Artillery Coalition member countries discuss Defense Forces of Ukraine’s needs until 2027 - Defense Ministry
The participants of the Coalition of Artillery Capabilities in Support of Ukraine have discussed the coordination of the road map, which contains the needs of the Defense Forces of Ukraine until 2027.
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has reported this.
Representatives of 14 states, as well as the EU and NATO, took part in the online meeting of the Coalition, which is co-led by France and the U.S.
The representatives of the participating states discussed the potential contributions of each of them to meet these needs, as well as the possibility of investing in the Ukrainian defense industry.
The Artillery Coalition was launched in January of this year in Paris. Its participants are countries that have advanced technologies for the production of the best artillery systems, ammunition, artillery reconnaissance, unmanned targeting systems, and fire control systems.
The purpose of the Coalition's activity is that by the end of 2027, the Defense Forces of Ukraine should acquire sustainable complex artillery capabilities and interoperability with NATO.
This is necessary in order to strengthen the ability of the Ukrainian army to resist russian attacks and deter potential new invasions, as well as to neutralize russia's fire superiority, its combat capabilities, and to establish operational interoperability with NATO.
The artillery coalition was created within the framework of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group (Ramstein).
Coalitions such as the Air Force Coalition, the Integrated Air and Missile Defense Coalition, the Armored and Maneuverable Coalition, the Maritime Capabilities Coalition, the Drone Coalition, the Mine Action Coalition, and the IT Coalition are also currently operational.
