Kyivstar cuts EBITDA by 2.6% to UAH 15.1 billion, ups revenues by 4.7% to UAH 26.9 billion over 9M, 2024

In January-September 2024, the Kyivstar mobile operator (Kyiv) reduced its EBITDA (Earnings before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortization) by 2.6% to UAH 15.136 billion compared to the same period last year (UAH 15.547 billion).

This is stated in the company's financial report, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

In the first nine months of the year, the company's revenues increased by 4.7% to UAH 26.861 billion.

The indicator of capital expenditures (CAPEX) increased by 57.5% to UAH 5.973 billion.

The report notes that the growth in the use of 4G technology continues: in the 3rd quarter of 2024, the 4G user base reached 15.3 million subscribers, which is 4.3% more compared to the same period last year.

Currently, the share of 4G users in Kyivstar is 65.4% of the total subscriber base, having increased by 4.8 percentage points year-on-year.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in January-June 2024, the Kyivstar mobile operator reduced its EBITDA (Earnings before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortization) by 7.9%, or by UAH 0.794 billion, to UAH 9.212 billion compared to the same period last year.

In 2023 compared to 2022, Kyivstar increased EBITDA by 8.1%, or UAH 1.5 billion, to UAH 19.8 billion.

At the same time, in 2023, the company's income increased by 8% to UAH 33.6 billion.

Kyivstar is part of the Ukrainian business unit of the international communications operator Veon (formerly VimpelCom).
