Zelenskyy believes that India can become venue for 2nd Peace Summit
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that India could become the venue for the second Peace Conference on Ukraine, during which Kyiv is ready to listen to proposals from other countries to end the war.
The head of state said this in an interview with the Indian newspaper The Times of India.
According to Zelenskyy, he talked about it with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
"We spoke with Modi <...> I believe that we could hold the second Peace Summit in any respectable capital. Of course, it could be in India," Zelenskyy said.
The President believes that Modi can organize such an event.
He also added that Ukraine is ready to listen to proposals for ending the military conflict from countries such as China, Brazil, India and members of the European Union.
Zelenskyy emphasized that such proposals should be based exclusively on the Ukrainian format, since “we have a war going on.”
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, at the beginning of October, the Office of the President announced that the second Peace Summit will not be held in November.
Earlier, before this, President Zelenskyy said that he wanted to hold a new Peace Conference in November and invite representatives of russia to it.
And yesterday, October 27, the President's Office announced the conditions for starting negotiations with russia on ending the war.
