The Armed Forces of Ukraine have captured 711 russian soldiers since the start of the Kursk operation in russia.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Oleksandr Syrskyi has written this on Facebook, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
During the Kursk operation, the russian military lost 17,819 people.
Of them, 6,662 persons are irreversible; sanitary - 10,446 people; prisoners - 711 people.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the statement made public by the head of the aggressor country of the russian federation, vladimir putin, at the BRICS summit, regarding the encirclement of Ukrainian troops in the Kursk Oblast, is not true. Syrskyi announced this on his Facebook page. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that on October 27-28, the first North Korean military will be deployed by russia in combat zones and called it an obvious escalation step by the russian federation. Regarding the Kursk operation, Zelenskyy noted that the buffer zone on russian territory protects Ukraine from russian attempts to expand the war in the east of the country and ensures significant russian losses. The Center for Countering Disinformation reported that russia hopes that the involvement of soldiers from North Korea in the Kursk Oblast will allow the russian military to be transferred to the Pokrovsk axis.
