Negative balance of foreign trade in goods worsens by USD 1,081.6 million to USD 17,613.4 million over 8M, 2024

The State Statistics Service has said this in a statement, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

In January-August 2024, the negative balance of trade in goods worsened by USD 1,081.6 million year over year (negative balance in January-August 2023 was USD 16,531.8 million).

In January-August 2024, Ukraine exported goods for USD 27,577.8 million, up 12.0% year over year.

In January-August 2024, Ukraine imported goods for USD 45,191.2 million, up 9.8% year over year.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in January-June 2024, the imports of goods exceeded exports by USD 13,606.4 million.

In 2023, the imports of goods exceeded exports by USD 27,376.2 million.

In 2023, the negative balance of trade in goods worsened by USD 16,216.1 million year over year (negative balance in 2022 was USD 11,160.1 million).
