MPs refuse to demobilize men of limited fitness under age of 25
The Verkhovna Rada has refused to release from military service men of limited fitness under the age of 25 who were being mobilized.
Member of Parliament from the Holos faction, Yaroslav Zhelezniak, announced this on his Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
A total of 311 parliamentarians voted for bill No. 11379-d as a whole, with the minimum required 226.
The bill only provides for a deferral for persons liable for military service under the age of 25, who are recognized as unfit for military service in peacetime due to their health, and of limited fitness in wartime.
At the same time, those who were mobilized before the adoption of this law will not be dismissed from service.
The provision on dismissal from service of the relevant category of citizens who were mobilized before the adoption of this law was removed from the bill for the second reading.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the Rada stopped the mobilization of men of limited fitness under the age of 25.
