Energoatom agrees on construction of protective structures at Rivne NPP for UAH 509 million

On September 25, the Energoatom national nuclear power generating company agreed with LLC Zakhidelektromontazh (Lutsk) on the construction of a protective structure of the second level of protection of the "pilot element" at the Rivne Nuclear Power Plant (Rivne NPP, Varash, Rivne Region) for UAH 509.2 million.

This is evidenced by the data in the ProZorro state procurement system, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

The purchase of design and construction works for the creation of protective structures at the Rivne NPP is carried out as part of the implementation of measures aimed at ensuring the protection of facilities of electric power and nuclear industrial complex enterprises.

At the same time, according to the tender documentation, the government adopted Resolution No. 522-5 dated April 26, 2024 "On the approval of a comprehensive plan for the expansion of the system of protection of critical infrastructure objects", which provides for the need to arrange engineering protection of the second level by October 1, 2024, which was reported to Energoatom.
