In Poland, water level rising rapidly, authorities calling on people to evacuate

On the night of September 18, the mayor of the Polish town of Żagań called on residents to evacuate from the area of ​​the main bridge, which was closed due to flooding.

This is reported by the Polish publication RMF24.

The article says that on the morning of September 18, the water level in the Bóbr River was 741 cm. It is known that the alarm is announced when it already reaches 400 centimeters.

So, at night, the mayor already ordered the evacuation of people from the area of ​​the closed bridge. And in the morning, the police announced the closure of the bridge.

It is also noted that the water level is constantly rising, but at the same time the pace is slowing down.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on September 16, the Polish government declared a state of emergency in parts of the Lower Silesian, Opole, and Silesian voivodships in the south and southwest of the country.

A great flood is raging in Europe, which is already being called the biggest in the last 30 years. In Romania and Poland, there are already the first deaths.
