AFU eliminate 1,200 occupiers, 26 units of armored vehicles and 42 drones. General Staff names losses of russians for day

As of the morning of September 5, russia lost 1,200 soldiers in the war against Ukraine. In addition, the Armed Forces destroyed 21 anti-aircraft missiles and 31 artillery systems.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has stated this on Telegram, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

The total combat losses of the enemy from 24.02.22 to 05.09.24 approximately amounted to:

• personnel - about 621,550 (+1200) people;
• tanks – 8,624 (+6) units;
• armored fighting vehicles - 16,869 (+21) units;
• artillery systems – 17,725 (+31) units;
• MLRS – 1,177 units;
• air defense equipment - 940 units;
• aircraft - 368 units;
• helicopters - 328 units;
• UAVs of operational-tactical level – 14,658 (+42) units;
• cruise missiles – 2,587 (+7) units;
• ships/boats - 28 units;
• submarines - 1 unit;
• vehicles and tank trucks - 24,044 (+37) units;
• special equipment – 3,024 (+10) units.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in August, the aggressor country russia lost about 36,810 soldiers in Ukraine. Also, the Armed Forces destroyed 6,383 units of weapons and military equipment.
