Satellite images show fire on "Boyko towers" - media

Several large-scale fires are recorded in the middle of the Black Sea - the so-called "Boyko towers" are burning. The fire is visible on satellite images.

The monitoring group of the Telegram channel "Crimean Wind" reported this.

The "Boyko towers" are gas and oil drilling platforms off the coast of Crimea. They are located east of the Zmiinyi Island.

"As of August 24, the middle platform is on fire, and a column of smoke is coming from the 3rd platform," the message reads.

In 2014, the "towers" were occupied by the russians. In September 2023, Ukraine returned them under its control.

The russian armed forces lost the ability to conduct reconnaissance in the sky, on water and on land in the Black Sea after the Armed Forces of Ukraine liberated the so-called "Boyko towers".

The Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has published unique documentary footage of a secret special intelligence operation on gas production platforms in the Black Sea.
