Excise duties on gasoline and diesel will increase in Ukraine from September 1

In Ukraine, from September 1, excise taxes on gasoline and diesel will increase by UAH 1.5-2, and on liquefied gas - by UAH 5.

Fuel market expert Serhii Kuiun informed about this on Novyny.live.

Kuiun noted that expectations of prices at the level of UAH 36 per liter of gas are exaggerated, and they can be realistic only until the end of the reform period in 2028.

"These are politicians, they also know how to manipulate and often do it... The price will increase by UAH 10, but until 2028," he said.

Recall that in July, the Verkhovna Rada increased excise taxes on fuel within the framework of bringing the tax legislation of Ukraine on excise tax into compliance with the legislation of the European Union.

On August 21, the Rada unblocked the signing of the law on increasing excise duty on fuel.

Once signed and published, the law will enter into force on September 1, 2024.
