Syrskyi tells how many missiles and attack UAVs russians launched over Ukraine during invasion

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the russian occupiers have launched more than 9,600 missiles and almost 14,000 attack drones to attack Ukraine, 9,200 of which were destroyed by air defense forces.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi announced this at the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities under the President of Ukraine.

"Since the beginning of the large-scale aggression, the enemy has launched more than 9,600 missiles and almost 14,000 attack drones. More than 2,400 missiles and 9,200 drones have been destroyed by means of air defense," he said.

Also, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces emphasized that the enemy spends three times more artillery ammunition than the Ukrainian military. According to him, from August 6 to 14, the russian federation spent 400,630 units of artillery ammunition, or an average of 44,500 per day. This is three times more than the Armed Forces spend, which amounts to 131,460, or 14,600 per day, respectively.

"The adversary maintains a high intensity of artillery shelling on the positions of our troops in the east and south of Ukraine. Currently, it is using up to 45,000 rounds of ammunition every day," Syrskyi added.

He continued that in July-August 2024, the ratio of the use of artillery ammunition is 3:1, which, as Syrskyi noted, is better than the statistics of January-May this year - 7:1, that is, about 70,000 to 10,000 every day.

At the same time, the Commander-in-Chief emphasized that during October-December 2023, the occupier used more than 30,000 units of artillery ammunition every day, while Ukraine used up to 10,000, and in August-September 2023 - about 20,000 and about 13,000, respectively.
