Syrskyi reports to Zelenskyy about new details of operation in Kursk Oblast, there is another replenishment of exchange fund

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, reported to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy about the new details of the operation in the Kursk Oblast (russia).

Zelenskyy announced this in his Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"The Commander-in-Chief also reported on the new details of the operation in the Kursk Oblast. We are achieving our goals. In the morning there is another replenishment of the exchange fund for our state," the President said.

Syrskyi reported on the frontline situation and measures to control it.

"Heavy battles are ongoing in the Pokrovsk Axis, the defense of Toretsk. I am grateful for every result in the destruction of the occupier. We are working on providing weapons and the necessary strong solutions to the partners of our actions on the front," Zelenskyy said.

He also reported that he and the Commander-in-Chief discussed some aspects of the Ukrainian missile program.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, russian propagandists and military bloggers complain that the destruction of the last of the three bridges over the Seim River cut off part of the russian occupation army in the southwest of the Kursk Oblast.

On August 17, Syrskyi reported to Zelenskyy about the strengthening of the positions of Ukrainian forces in the Kursk Oblast and the expansion of the stabilized territory.

According to the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW), the operation of Ukrainian troops in the Kursk Oblast forced russia to redeploy forces there from other areas of the front, totaling about 5,000.
