Russia loses 1,170 soldiers and 71 enemy artillery systems – General Staff
On August 18, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) eliminated 1,170 russian invaders. In addition, the enemy lost 71 artillery systems, 38 UAVs, and seven armored combat vehicles.
This follows from a statement by the General Staff of the AFU.
Thus, the total combat losses of the enemy from February 24, 2022, to August 18, 2024, approximately amounted to:
- personnel - about 599,350 (+1,170),
- tanks ‒ 8,508 (+7) units,
- armored combat vehicles ‒ 16,480 (+7) units,
- artillery systems – 17,056 (+71) units,
- MLRS – 1,161 (+1) units,
- air defense equipment ‒ 923 (+0) units,
- planes – 367 (+0) units,
- helicopters – 328 (+0) units,
- UAVs of operational-tactical level – 13,752 (+38),
- cruise missiles ‒ 2,432 (+0),
- ships/boats ‒ 28 (+0) units,
- submarines – 1 (+0) units,
- automotive equipment and tank trucks – 22,992 (+79) units,
- special equipment ‒ 2,846 (+2)

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, meanwhile, overnight into August 18, the Defense Forces of Ukraine struck the Kavkaz plant in the Rostov Oblast of the aggressor state of russia, which stored oil and oil products supplied, in particular, to the russian army.
Also, on the Kursk Axis, the Air Force of the AFU blew up another bridge, thus continuing to deprive the enemy of logistical capabilities.
