Quotations of Ferrexpo shares keep falling for 2nd week in a row, down 1.2% to GBP 0.487 per share August 5-9

In the period of August 5-9, the quotations of shares of Ferrexpo plc (United Kingdom), which controls Poltava Mining and Yeristovo Mining (both located in Horishni Plavni, Poltava Region), at the London Stock Exchange decreased by 1.2% or GBP 0.006 per share to GBP 0.487 per share, falling for the 2nd week in a row.

That follows from the data posted at the London Stock Exchange, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

According to the report, on August 5, the shares of the company were quoted at the level of GBP 0.493 per share; on August 6, they decreased to GBP 0.483 per share; and on August 7, they increased to GBP 0.488 per share.

On August 8, the share quotations decreased to GBP 0.484 per share; but on August 9, they increased to GBP 0.487 per shares.

The transactions were being conducted throughout the week.

Since the start of the year, the company's share quotations have decreased by 46.1% (compared to the level of quotations on December 29, 2023 - GBP 0.903).

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in the period of July 29 – August 2, the quotations of Ferrexpo plc shares at the London Stock Exchange decreased by 14.9% or GBP 0.090 per share to GBP 0.513 per share, after rising during the previous week.

In the period of December 31, 2022 - December 31, 2023, the quotations of shares of Ferrexpo plc at the London Stock Exchange fell by 42.6% or GBP 0.669 per share to GBP 0.903 per share.

In January-June 2024, compared to the same period last year, the Ferrexpo plc increased its net profit twice, or by USD 28 million, to USD 55 million.

The group's revenue in the first half of the year increased by 64% to USD 549 million, mainly due to the recovery of exports from Ukrainian Black Sea ports.

In the first half of the year, the company increased EBITDA (Earnings before Taxes, Interest, and Depreciation) by 24%, or USD 15 million, to USD 79 million, which is largely due to increased revenue due to increased production.

Capital investments in the 1st half of the year decreased by 5% to USD 55 million.
