Cabinet appoints Sheik as first deputy energy minister

The Cabinet of Ministers has appointed Yurii Sheik as the first deputy minister of energy.

This follows from a statement by the Ministry of Energy, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

Previously, he held the position of temporary acting first vice president - technical director and acting board member of the Energoatom national nuclear power generating company.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, former Deputy Minister of Energy Yurii Vlasenko was elected as the head of the National Commission for State Regulation in the Energy and Utilities Sectors.

In April 2021, the Verkhovna Rada appointed Herman Halushchenko, vice president of Energoatom, as Minister of Energy.
