At night, air defense forces destroyed all 27 russian kamikaze drones

Overnight into Friday, August 9, the army of the aggressor country of the russian federation attacked Ukraine with Shahed drones. Air defense forces managed to shoot down all enemy drones.

Air Force Commander Mykola Oleshchuk reports this in Telegram.

"On the night of August 9, 2024, the russian occupiers attacked with Shahed type UAVs from the Primorsko-Akhtarsk region - russia," he said.

It is noted that 27 attack drones were detected and accompanied by the Air Force's radio engineering troops.

According to the general, as a result of the anti-aircraft battle, all enemy UAVs were shot down by the mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, anti-aircraft missile units and EW equipment of the Air Force in the Kyiv, Poltava, Sumy, Mykolaiv, Kherson, Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk Regions.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the night of August 8, the previous day, the russian occupiers fired 2 ballistic and 2 guided air missiles, as well as 4 Shaheds, over Ukraine. Air defense forces destroyed both anti-aircraft missiles and all attack drones.
