AFU strike rare for russian army artillery reconnaissance complex with help of HIMARS. Video published

Defense forces of Ukraine destroyed the Yastreb-AV radar station, rare in the russian army, which the enemy deployed in the occupied part of the Donetsk Region.

This was announced by the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andrii Yermak.

According to him, the occupiers' radar was hit by fire from American M142 HIMARS rocket launchers.

"HIMARS struck a rare russian counter-battery radar 1K148 "Yastreb-AV" in the rear of the occupiers in the Donetsk axis," Yermak wrote.

The head of the President's Office also published a video recording the moment of defeating the enemy's radar.

1K148 "Yastreb-AV" is an artillery reconnaissance complex designed to detect artillery positions and destroy them with the help of drones.

According to the russians, the complex is capable of automatically tracking the trajectory of shells fired by artillery and determining the coordinates of artillery positions.

This complex is new for the russian army, it completed testing only in 2022. Only a few units were used by the occupiers.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on June 13, the Security Service of Ukraine published a video of the destruction of the russian "Zoopark" radar, the cost of which is USD 25 million.

And at the beginning of June, Ukrainian special forces discovered and destroyed the russian "Kasta-2E2" radar, designed for airspace monitoring.
