IMF appoints Tofano as permanent representative in Ukraine instead of Stepanyan
The International Monetary Fund has appointed Priscilla Tofano as its permanent representative in Ukraine instead of Vahram Stepanyan.
This follows from a statement by the IMF, reports Ukrainian News Agency.
"The International Monetary Fund has appointed Priscilla Tofano as its permanent representative in Ukraine. As of August 1, of this year, she will replace Vahram Stepanyan, who is returning to the central office of the IMF after three years in this position," the message reads.
Priscilla Tofano, an Italian citizen, has been working at the IMF since 2013.
The rotation of permanent representatives is an established practice in the IMF to ensure the rotation of its staff.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in September 2022, the International Monetary Fund appointed Gavin Gray as the head of the mission in Ukraine instead of Ivanna Vladkova Hollar.
