State Energy Supervision Inspectorate expects situation in power system to improve after heat subsides

The State Energy Supervision Inspectorate expects the situation in the power system to improve after the heat subsides.

This is stated in the message of the State Energy Supervision Inspectorate, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

Ruslan Slobodian, head of the State Energy Supervision Inspectorate, noted that abnormal heat and constant enemy shelling of Ukraine's infrastructure are the main factors of additional load in the power system and an increase in the number of emergency situations in power grids.

According to him, a decrease in the load on the power system and, accordingly, a certain stabilization of its operation is expected in the near future, when the heat subsides.

"After the normalization of temperature regimes, which are currently higher than the climatic norm, we expect a decrease in the number of hourly power outages," he said.

Slobodian noted that as a result of massive missile and drone attacks, there was a shortage of maneuvering capabilities, thanks to which balancing was carried out in the Ukrainian energy system.

At the same time, he urged all consumers to use electricity sparingly and responsibly.

"The more consciously we approach this, the easier the energy system will pass such particularly extreme modes of operation," Slobodian noted.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the State Energy Supervision Inspectorate will thoroughly check the application by distribution system operators (oblenergos) of hourly outage schedules and fair distribution of electricity in regions.
