I am not afraid of possible Trump presidency - Zelenskyy
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that he is not afraid of the possible presidency of Donald Trump in the USA.
He said this during a press conference, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"If Mr. Donald Trump becomes president, we will work. I am not afraid of that," the head of state said.
Zelenskyy noted that Ukraine has bipartisan support in the US Congress.
He added that "we have strong relations with the Republican part of Congress."
According to him, "the Republican Party is different," but the majority in it "supports Ukraine and the people of Ukraine."
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, during a rally in Pennsylvania, a man shot several times at Donald Trump, who was speaking on stage. One of the bullets hit the presidential candidate's earlobe. Trump was quickly evacuated from the stage.
Later, the mass media reported that the shooter had been eliminated - he was shooting from the roof of the building opposite the scene.
Zelenskyy said that Trump should come up with his plan to quickly end the war with the aggressor state of russia, and that any proposal should not violate the nation's sovereignty.
