E-office of persons liable for military service will start working on May 18 - Chernohorenko

On May 18, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine will launch the electronic office of persons liable for military service.

Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine for Digital Development, Digital Transformation and Digitalization Kateryna Chernohorenko stated this on Radio Svoboda.

"On May 18, the Ministry of Defense launches, as defined by the current law, the electronic office of persons liable for military service... Now this application is literally being created, and we are receiving all the necessary documents so that it is available to all our citizens," Chernohorenko said.

According to her, in order to update the data in the e-office, you will need to download a mobile application, log in and fill in the necessary "fields."

"In fact, from May 18, persons liable for military service will have an obligation to register their data, namely, the phone number, email and the actual address of residence in three available formats - in territorial centers of recruitment and social support, through administrative services centers or through the electronic office of persons liable for military service. This will be a mobile application, it can be downloaded in the App Store and the Google Play Market... We are working to ensure that this very simple and convenient function is available in the application - log in, fill in these three "fields" and immediately get information from the Oberih base of persons liable for military service in order to see what data you have in the register," said Chernohorenko.

She stressed that in order to update the data, it will be enough to use the application without visiting a territorial center of recruitment and social support.

"It will be possible to do this remotely, without a visit to a territorial center of recruitment and social support. In the future, to clarify other data, if necessary, a territorial center of recruitment and social support will contact the person liable for military service and then it will be the work between the person liable for military service and directly an employee of the territorial center of recruitment and social support... You can update this data from any convenient point, including from abroad. We believe that the number of persons liable for military service who will use this functionality can reach 70-80%, because it will be very convenient," said the Deputy Minister of Defense.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on April 11, the Verkhovna Rada adopted a bill on mobilization.

The Verkhovna Rada obliged persons liable for military service to clarify the address of residence, mobile number and email addresses.

At the same time, the adopted law on mobilization provides that the electronic office of persons liable for military service will not be mandatory for men.
