The Prosecutor-General's Office (PGO) is awaiting former President Viktor Yanukovych's return to Ukraine.
Vladyslav Kutsenko, a prosecutor with the Prosecutor-General's Office, announced this to Ukrainian News.
"We are impatiently looking forward to Yanukovych's return to Ukraine. Warm tea, an easy chair, and our investigators are waiting for him here," he said.
According to him, the Prosecutor-General's Office intends to give Yanukovych a New Year's gift if he returns on the eve of the New Year.
"We will even give him a gift," said Kutsenko.
He stressed that the safety of Yanukovych would be guaranteed.
Earlier, Yanukovych said in an interview with the Russian media that he had the desire to return to politics.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, Yanukovych said in February that he expected to return to Ukraine in the future.
