​EU: Self-Proclaimed Donetsk And Luhansk People's Republics Elections Illegal

The EU calls on all the Minsk meeting parties to observe and complete all the agreements provisions in full.

The European Union considers illegal "elections" held by self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk people's republics, High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini has said.

She said that the "elections" contradict not only the agreements reached in Minsk (Belarus) but also violate the integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine.

The EU calls on all the Minsk meeting parties to observe and complete all the agreements provisions in full.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) does not intend to acknowledge local elections in Donetsk and Luhansk regions of November 2.
