March inflation 0.5%
In March 2024, consumer prices rose by 0.5%.
This is stated in the report of the State Statistics Service, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
In particular, prices for food products and non-alcoholic beverages in March decreased by 0.2%, for clothes and shoes - increased by 12.9%, for housing and utility services - did not change, for services related to with health care - increased by 0.9%, for education - increased by 0.1%.
Compared to March 2023, consumer prices rose by 3.2% in March 2024.
In January-March 2024, inflation made 1.2%.
In March 2024, the core consumer price index increased by 1.0%.
In January-March 2024, the core consumer price index increased by 1.8%.
Core inflation is a sub-index of the consumer price index.
The core CPI (core inflation) is a part of inflation that shows the dynamics of free prices without taking into account items whose prices are affected by administrative and seasonal factors.
As Ukrainian News Agency reported, in February 2024, consumer prices rose by 0.3%, and core consumer price index increased by 0.4%.
In 2023, inflation was recorded at 5.1%; in 2022 at 26.6%; in 2021 at 10.0%; in 2020 at 5.0%; in 2019 at 4.1%.
In 2023, core inflation was 4.9%.
The state budget for 2024 provides for an increase in consumer prices (December over December) - 9.7%.
