First Peace Summit will take place in the near future, and russia may be invited to the second - Yermak

The first Peace Summit will be held in Switzerland in the near future, russia may be invited to the second.

This was said by the head of the President's Office, Andrii Yermak, during the "Ukraine. Year 2024" Forum, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"The first inaugural summit will be held in Switzerland in the near future. To date, invitations have been prepared and will be sent to more than 160 countries," he said.

According to Yermak, the goal of the first summit should be to confirm that the countries that will gather respect the independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine within the borders of 1991.

After the first meeting, it will take some time to prepare a joint plan of the responsible countries of the world on the basis of the Ukrainian Peace Formula, which will provide for the end of this war and overcoming the crises created by this war.

Yermak suggested that russia could be invited to the second summit.

"At the second summit, we anticipate that when this plan will be created, together and without intermediaries, somewhere under the table, openly, with the participation of all these countries that will go with us all this way, there may be a situation where we invite together representatives of the russian federation, where they will be presented and given this plan in the event that whoever is representing the aggressor country wants to really stop this war and return to a just peace," he said.

The head of the President's Office noted that what Ukraine understands by a just peace is set out in the Ukrainian Peace Formula.
