Trading volume on Perspektyva stock exchange up 44% to UAH 15.8 billion in January

In January 2024, a total of 11,450 deals worth UAH 15.76 billion (+44% to December 2023, +56 to January 2023) were concluded on the Perspektyva stock exchange.

This follows from a statement by the exchange, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

In total, 31,760 deals worth UAH 44.52 billion (+3% to December 2023, +45% to January 2023) were concluded on the stock exchanges of Ukraine in January 2024.

In January, debt instruments traditionally dominated the structure of trading on Perspektyva: government bonds - 98.07%, bonds of foreign countries - 1.93%.

On the exchange stock market in general, trading is also observed mainly in the debt segment: government bonds - 93.20%, bonds of enterprises, foreign issuers and foreign countries - 6.76%, shares, and securities of joint investment institutions - 0.04%.

The share of the Perspektyva stock exchange in the total exchange turnover in January is 35%, including in relation to government bonds - 37%, in relation to other bonds - 10%, in the total number of transactions - 36%.

The volume of trading on the Perspektyva stock exchange increased by 44% compared to December 2023, the number of transactions increased by 22%.

10.66% of trades were conducted on the repo market, 0.10% - on the bid market, and 89.24% - on the address market.

In January, contracts on Perspektyva were concluded with 40 financial instruments (+2 over December 2023, +9 over January 2023), bids were made for 45 financial instruments.

As of January 31, the number of securities and other financial instruments admitted to trading on the Perspektiva stock exchange amounted to 261, of which 161 were listed.

Structure of issues (series) by type of financial instruments: 175 - government bonds and government derivatives (161 - domestic, 14 - foreign loans), 49 - other bonds (17 - corporate bonds of Ukrainian issuers, 8 - corporate bonds of foreign issuers, 24 - bonds of foreign states), 30 - shares (17 - Ukrainian issuers, 11 - foreign issuers, 2 - shares of corporate investment funds), 7 - investment certificates).

The number of members of the Perspektyva stock exchange as of January 31, 2024 was 56, admitted to trading - 49.

The number of members of the Perspektyva stock exchange concluding contracts in January amounted to 27 (-1 over December 2023, +2 over January 2023).

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in December 2023, a total of 9,350 deals worth UAH 10.95 billion (-41% to November 2023) were concluded on the Perspektyva stock exchange; and in 2023, the number of deals made 106,520 worth UAH 164.45 billion (2.5 times more than in 2022).
