Population’s deposits with banks up 2.6% to UAH 1,030.3 billion in November

According to operational data, the volume of funds placed by individuals in bank accounts in hryvnia and foreign currency increased by 2.6% to UAH 1,030.327 billion in November.

This is evidenced by the data of the National Bank, the Ukrainian News Agency reports.

Since the beginning of the current year, deposits of the population in banks have increased by 11.2% from UAH 926.488 billion.

Hryvnia deposits of the population in banks increased by 3.1% to UAH 682.533 billion in November.

At the same time, the volume of foreign currency deposits of the population in the hryvnia equivalent increased by 1.5% to UAH 347.794 billion in the reporting month.

Deposits of legal entities (hryvnia and currency) in November increased by 2.1% to UAH 1,156.024 billion.

The average interest rate on hryvnia deposits (monthly average) for legal entities decreased by 0.3 percentage point in November to 10.3%; for individuals, it remained at 11.9%.

The rate on foreign currency deposits for legal entities was 0.6%, for the population – 1%.

As the Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the volume of funds placed by individuals in bank accounts in hryvnia and foreign currency increased by 0.7% to UAH 1,005.287 billion in October.

In 2022, public deposits in banks increased by 29.3% from UAH 719.418 billion.

In 2021, population deposits in banks increased by 6.8% from UAH 674.718 billion to UAH 720.932 billion.

In 2020, population deposits in banks increased by 24.5% from UAH 542.302 billion.
