71 combat clashes between AFU and occupiers take place – General Staff

During the past day, November 18, there were 71 combat clashes between Ukrainian soldiers and russian invaders.

This is stated in the morning summary of the General Staff of the AFU posted on Facebook.

In total, during the day, the enemy launched five missile and 76 airstrikes and carried out 50 attacks using MLRSes on the positions of our troops and populated areas. As a result of russian terrorist attacks, there are dead and wounded among the civilian population. Private residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.

Airstrikes were carried out in Stepok of the Sumy Region; Holubivka, Petropavlivka, Kucherivka, and Ivanivka in the Kharkiv Region; Bilohorivka, Luhansk Region; Verkhniokamiyanske, Spirne, Stepove, Avdiyivka, Mariyinka, Novomykhailivka, Vuhledar, and Staromayorske in the Donetsk Region; Novodanilivka, Zaporizhzhia Region; and Tiahynka, Kherson Region.

More than 150 settlements in the Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, and Mykolayiv Regions came under artillery fire.

In the area of responsibility of the North Operational and Strategic Troops Group on the Volyn and Polisskyi Axes, the operational situation remains without significant changes.

On the Siverskyi and Slobozhanskyi Axes, the enemy maintains a military presence in the border areas, conducts active diversionary activities in order to prevent the transfer of our troops to the threatening axis, and increases the density of mine and explosive barriers along the state border in the Belgorod Oblast.

In the area of responsibility of the Khortytsia Operational and Strategic Troops Group on the Kupiyansk Axis, the enemy conducted assault operations near Synkivka and east of Petropavlivka, Kharkiv Region, where the Defense Forces repulsed seven attacks.

On the Lyman Axis, the enemy carried out assaults in the area of Torske, Donetsk Region, without success.

On the Bakhmut Axis, Ukrainian soldiers repelled eight attacks by invaders near Klishchiyivka and Andriyivka in the Donetsk Region. Also, the Defense Forces of Ukraine continue their assault operations south of Bakhmut, inflicting losses on the enemy in manpower and equipment and entrenching themselves at the achieved frontiers.

In the area of responsibility of the Tavria Operational and Strategic Troops Group on the Avdiyivka Axis, the occupiers do not stop trying to surround Avdiyivka. Our soldiers firmly hold the defense, inflicting significant losses on the enemy. The offensive actions of the enemy in the eastern regions of Keramik, Novobakhmutivka, Stepove, and Avdiyivka of the Donetsk Region were unsuccessful, where the Defense Forces repelled 26 attacks.

On the Mariyinka Axis, the enemy conducted fruitless assaults in the Mariyinka and Novomykhailivka Districts of the Donetsk Region. Here, our defenders repelled 22 attacks.

On the Shakhtarsk Axis, the enemy conducted fruitless assaults near Staromayorske, Donetsk Region, where the Defense Forces repelled three attacks.

In the Zaporizhzhia Axis, the enemy carried out assaults in the areas of the settlements of Robotyne, Novoprokopivka, and west of Verbove in the Zaporizhzhia Region without success.

At the same time, the Defense Forces of Ukraine continue to conduct an offensive operation on the Melitopol Axis, inflict losses in manpower and equipment on the occupying forces, and exhaust the enemy along the entire front line.

In the area of responsibility of the Odesa Operational and Strategic Troops Group on the Kherson Axis, our soldiers are conducting a counter-battery fight, inflicting fire damage on the enemy's rear.

The defense forces will continue to hold positions on the left bank of the Dnieper River in the Kherson Region. They continue to inflict fire damage on the enemy.

During the day, the aviation of the Defense Forces made six strikes on areas where enemy personnel were concentrated.

Units of the missile forces hit three control points, three areas of concentration of personnel, weapons, and military equipment, and the artillery and ammunition depot of the enemy.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on the night of November 19, the russian invaders attacked Ukraine from the north (Kursk Oblast - the aggressor country of the russian Federation) with Shahed-type UAVs. Air Defense Forces worked in three Regions. As a result of the anti-aircraft battle, 15 Shahed-136/131 attack UAVs were destroyed.
