Ukrainian Exchange trading volume down 8.8% to UAH 2.150 billion in October

In October, the trading volume on the Ukrainian Exchange decreased by 8.8% to UAH 2.150 billion over September.

The exchange has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

It is noted that the total volume of trading on the Ukrainian Exchange in October was UAH 2,150,440,914.03, and the total number of transactions was 19,047.

In the trading structure for October 2023, government bonds (OVDPs) accounted for 86.87% of the total turnover, or UAH 1,868,096,205.81; shares - 1.02%, or UAH 21,869,643.03; investment certificates - 0.06%, or UAH 1,319,677.51; foreign securities - 8.96%, or UAH 192,680,282.92; and corporate bonds - 3.09% or UAH 66,475,104.76.

It is noted that in October, the index of Ukrainian shares (UX index) decreased by 8.7% from 2,145.38 to 1,958.07 points.

The leaders in the share securities market in October were:

- Kyivmedpreparat JSC (UAH 21.850 million);

- Open-end fund of real estate PIF nerukhomosti Inzhur Supermarket, investment certificates (UAH 1.006 million);

- MHP SE (0.115 million).

The leaders of circulation on the debt securities market in October were:

- 227409 government bonds, USD-nominated, repayment 03/21/2024 (UAH 308.8 million);

- 206460 government bonds, repayment 11/22/2023 (UAH 298.7 million);

 - 227581 government bonds, USD-nominated, repayment 02/29/2024 (UAH 266.8 million).

The leading operators of the stock and fund certificate market in October were Navigator-Invest, Inzhur Capital and Univer Capital.

The leading operators of the bond market in October were BTC Broker, Universal Bank and Sky Bank.

In turn, the leading operators of the foreign securities market in October were Univer Capital, Daliz-Finance FC and Dragon Capital.

Ukrainian Exchange is a liquidity center for stocks and derivatives in Ukraine.

The index of Ukrainian shares is calculated from the start of trading on the Ukrainian Exchange on March 26, 2009.

The initial value was taken equal to 500 points.

Today, the Index Basket includes 6 of the most liquid shares.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in September, the trading volume on the Ukrainian Exchange increased by 30.9% to UAH 2.359 billion over August.
