Agrarians sow 5 million hectares with winter crops

Agricultural enterprises have sown 4.985 million hectares with winter crops, including 1,136,000 hectares of winter rapeseed and 3,849,000 hectares of winter cereals (wheat - 3,456,000 hectares, barley - 322,000 hectares and rye - 71,000 hectares).

This is stated in the message of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

Agricultural producers of all regions of Ukraine have completed the sowing of winter rapeseed.

Over the previous week, farmers sowed 506,000 hectares of winter cereals.

At the same time, the Volyn, Zakarpattia, Zaporizhzhia and Poltava Regions have fully completed the winter sowing.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in early September, farmers began sowing winter crops.
