Not a single child remains in Avdiyivka - Vereshchuk
About 1,000 civilians remain in the city of Avdiyivka in the Donetsk Region, but there are no more children among them.
This was announced by Iryna Vereshchuk, Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine.
"Avdiyivka. Now, according to our data, there are still about 1,000 people living there," she said.
According to her, there are no more children among the residents of Avdiyivka.
The Vice Prime Minister called on people to evacuate the settlement for the sake of safety.
What is happening in Avdiyivka?
The russian occupiers continue their attempts to surround Avdiyivka, Donetsk Region. The enemy is conducting assaults in the north and south of the city, trying to "find cracks" in the defense. However, the invaders are not successful, all attacks are repelled.
Earlier, the City Military Administration reported that the enemy wants to cut off the road to Avdiyivka, Donetsk Region, and is trying to keep it under constant fire, which complicates the evacuation and delivery of humanitarian aid.
The Defense Intelligence emphasized that the special importance of Avdiyivka is that the city is the gateway to Donetsk and to the whole of the Donetsk Region.
