Ukrainian Exchange trading volume down 20.8% to UAH 1.803 billion in August

In August, the trading volume on the Ukrainian Exchange decreased by 20.8% to UAH 1.803 billion over July.

The exchange has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

It is noted that the total volume of trading on the Ukrainian Exchange in August was UAH 1,802,696,627.90, and the total number of transactions was 11,438.

In the trading structure for August 2023, government bonds (OVDPs) accounted for 95.18% of the total turnover, or UAH 1,715,749,336.09; shares - 0.02%, or UAH 299,762.33; investment certificates - 0.03%, or UAH 640,615.05; foreign securities - 4.66%, or UAH 83,951,050.74; and corporate bonds - 0.11% or UAH 2,055,863.69.

It is noted that in August, the index of Ukrainian shares (UX index) decreased by 5.0% from 1,658.92 to 1,576.16 points.

The leaders in the share securities market in August were:

- SPIFIT UNIVER.UA/Otaman: Fond Perspektyvnykh Aktsii, investment certificates (UAH 0.242 million hryvnia);

- VSPIFA UNIVER.UA/Yaroslav Mudryi: Fond Aktsii, investment certificates (UAH 0.196 million);

- VSPIF UNIVER.UA/Mykhailo Hrushevskyi: Fond Derzhavnykh Paperiv, investment certificates (UAH 0.181 million).

The leaders of circulation on the debt securities market in August were:

- 227300 government bonds, USD-nominated, repayment 09/14/2023 (UAH 396.3 million);

- 204150 government bonds, repayment 02/26/2025 (UAH 226.1 million);

- 227409 government bonds, USD-nominated, repayment 03/21/2024 (UAH 161.2 million).

The leading operators of the stock and fund certificate market in August were Univer Capital, BTC Broker, and KINTO, Ltd.

The leading operators of the bond market in August were BTC Broker, Dragon Capital, and PrivatBank.

In turn, the leading operators of the foreign securities market in August were Dragon Capital, Daliz Finance FC, and BTC Broker.

Ukrainian Exchange is a liquidity center for stocks and derivatives in Ukraine.

The index of Ukrainian shares is calculated from the start of trading on the Ukrainian Exchange on March 26, 2009.

The initial value was taken equal to 500 points.

Today, the Index Basket includes 6 of the most liquid shares.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in July, the trading volume on the Ukrainian Exchange increased by 48.2% to UAH 2.276 billion over June.
