New passenger car sales double to 5,800 units in August

In August 2023, compared to August 2022, sales of new passenger cars doubled and made 5,800 units.

This is stated in the message of the Ukravtoprom association, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

It is noted that compared to July, the sale of new passenger cars increased by 9%.

Among the new passenger cars in August, Toyota cars were in greatest demand - 1,118 registered cars.

Volkswagen cars were in second place (611 registered cars), Renault cars were third in the rating (501 cars), BMW cars were fourth (433 cars), and Skoda were fifth (394 cars).

Renault Duster was the best-selling car in August (473 cars sold).

Since the beginning of the year, 38,100 new passenger cars have been registered in Ukraine, which is by 56% more than in the same period of 2022.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in 2022, compared to 2021, the sale of new passenger cars decreased by 63% to 37,900 units.
