Occupiers Trying To Advance In 2 Directions. Defense Forces Repel Over 40 Attacks During Day - Summary
The Russian occupiers will continue to focus their main efforts on attempts to completely occupy the Luhansk and Donetsk Regions. During the past day, more than 40 combat clashes took place. On the Lyman and Bakhmut directions, Ukrainian defenders of the past day destroyed 160 invaders and wounded another 230.
This was reported in the morning summary of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
This night, the Russian Federation again launched a massive missile attack on Ukraine. During the attack, the enemy used 35 cruise missiles. However, all of them were destroyed in the air by our defenders.
Over the past day, the enemy launched 4 missile and 64 air strikes, launched 64 MLRS fire attacks on the positions of our troops and populated areas. In addition to destroyed infrastructure, civilians suffered.
The enemy continues to maintain a military presence in the areas bordering Ukraine in the Siversk and Slobozhansk directions. Over the past day, the enemy launched a missile attack on the city of Kharkiv, using 3 S-300 missiles.
It also carried out airstrikes in the Seredyna-Buda districts of the Sumy Region and Ohirtseve and Hatyshche of the Kharkiv Region. It carried out mortar and artillery shelling of the settlements of Seredyna Buda, Baranivka, Buniakyne, Stari Vyrky, Atynske, Volfyne, Obody, Yastrubyne, Kindrativka, Myropillya, Krasnopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Shevchenkove, Oleksandrivka of the Sumy Region, as well as Basove, Sotnytskyi Kozachok, Huryiv Kozachok, Udy, Veterynarne, Vysoka Yaruha, Hlyboke, Lukyantsi, Starytsia, Ohirtseve, Hatyshche, Pletenivka, Vovchansk, Mykolayivka, Nesterne, Budarky, Zarubynka, Shevyakivka, Odradne of the Kharkiv Region.
On the Kupyansk direction, during the past day, artillery and mortar attacks were carried out by the enemy in Kolodiazne, Krasne Pershe, Novomlynsk, Kutkivka, Dvorichna, Zapadne, Kyslivka, Berestove of the Kharkiv Region and Novoselivske of the Luhansk Region.
On the Lyman direction, during the past day, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive actions in the area of Bilohorivka, Luhansk Region. It carried out airstrikes in the districts of Nevske of the Luhansk Region and Spirne of the Donetsk Region. Nevske, Bilohorivka of the Luhansk Region and Verkhniokamyanske, Torske, Spirne, Rozdolivka of the Donetsk Region were hit by artillery fire.
In the Bakhmut direction, the enemy carried out offensive actions in the direction of Ivanivske, without success. It conducted a rocket struck on a residential quarter in Komyshuvaha, destroying residential buildings. It also carried out airstrikes in the Toretsk and Bila Hora districts of the Donetsk Region. Areas of settlements of Vasiukivka, Orihovo-Vasylivka, Khromove, Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske, Stupochky, Bila Hora, Dyliyivka and New York of the Donetsk Region were affected by enemy artillery shelling.
During the past day, the enemy lost more than 160 people in the Lyman and Bakhmut directions, and about 230 more were wounded. The enemy's losses in weapons and military equipment amounted to 28 units.
In the Avdiyivka direction, the enemy made an unsuccessful attack attempt in the direction of the settlements of Avdiyivka, as well as Sieverne and Nevelske. It carried out airstrikes in the Avdiyivka area of the Donetsk Region. It carried out artillery shelling of the settlements of Novokalynove, Avdiyivka, Lastochkyne, Sieverne, Pervomayske, Karlivka and Nevelske of the Donetsk Region.
In the Maryinka direction, our defenders repelled numerous enemy attacks in the area of the city of Maryinka, inflicting significant losses on it. Estimated losses of the occupiers over the past day in this direction alone amounted to about 70 killed and more than 100 wounded. 17 units of enemy equipment were also destroyed. At the same time, the enemy carried out airstrikes on Maryinka, carried out artillery shelling of the settlements of Hostre, Heorhiyivka, Maryinka, Pobieda, Novomykhaylivka of the Donetsk Region.
In the Shakhtarsk direction, the enemy carried out offensive actions in the direction of Novosilka, without success. It carried out an airstrike in the area of the settlement of Velyka Novosilka. It shelled the settlements of Vuhledar, Prechystivka, Novoukrayinka and Vremivka of the Donetsk Region. At the same time, in the specified direction, soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine shot down an enemy Ka-52 helicopter.
The enemy continues to conduct defensive operations in the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions. It launched an airstrike on Beryslav, Kherson Region. It carried out artillery shelling of Burlatske, Novosilka, Zelene Pole, Novopil, Temyrivka settlements of the Donetsk Region; Olhivske, Poltavka, Malynivka, Hulyaipole, Zaliznychne, Huliaipilske, Charivne, Bilohirya, Mala Tokmachka, Novodanylivka, Preobrazhenka, Novoandriyivka, Shcherbaky, Stepove and Kamyanske of the Zaporizhzhia Region; Kozatske, Mykilske, Molodizhne, Dniprovske of the Kherson Region and the city of Kherson.
Over the past day, the aviation of the Defense Forces has struck 19 strikes on areas where personnel are concentrated and 5 on enemy anti-aircraft missile complexes.
The defenders also destroyed 10 enemy reconnaissance UAVs and 6 shock UAVs of various types.
Under missile troops and artillery during the past day hit 2 control points, 12 areas of concentration of manpower, weapons and military equipment, an ammunition warehouse, an anti-aircraft missile complex, 12 artillery units of the enemy in firing positions, as well as 4 more important targets.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Ukrainian defenders advanced in various areas in the Bakhmut direction. In some places, they were able to recapture up to 1,600 meters of territory from the Russian invaders.
