Energy System Will Operate With Zero Deficit For 4th Day In Row - Halushchenko

On Wednesday, February 15, the energy system will operate with a zero deficit for the fourth day in a row.

This was announced by the Ministry of Energy with reference to the Minister of Energy Herman Halushchenko, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

He noted that today the generation of electricity will continue to ensure its consumption.

"All 9 power units of the NPPs are working, providing more than half of the volume of electricity produced in Ukraine. Favorable weather conditions this winter allow hydro generation to work powerfully, and the volume of electricity production from renewable sources is increasing," Halushchenko said.

According to him, stabilization power outages are possible in the Odesa Region in connection with network infrastructure repairs.

In addition, due to enemy shelling in the eastern part of the Kharkiv Region and damage to the power grids, the city of Kupyansk and the surrounding districts were de-energized.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, one more unit at one of the power plants was put into operation in Ukraine, but repair work on the objects affected by the Russian attacks continues.
