RF will deploy mobile reserve units from new 3rd Army Corps in south – intelligence
Since the beginning of the week, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have been conducting a successful offensive on the southern front. The Russian Federation will try to close the gaps with mobile reserve units.
That follows from a statement by British intelligence.
It is noted that since Monday, Ukrainian armored forces have continued their offensive against the Southern Group of Russian Forces in several directions in the south of the country. At the same time, the Armed Forces pushed back the front line to some distance in some places, using relatively weakly fortified Russian defense areas.
"According to its doctrine, Russia will most likely now try to close the gaps in its line using pre-determined mobile reserve units. Among them will probably be representatives of the Eastern Group of Forces," the British Ministry of Defense said.
According to intelligence, Russia continues to accelerate efforts to create new reinforcements for the war in Ukraine. The battalions of the new 3rd Army Corps left their base near Moscow by August 24, and it is likely that they will be transferred to Ukraine.
"The operational effectiveness of these units is unknown. The 3rd Army Corps is most likely undermanned and these troops have limited training," the report said.
As Ukrainian News reported, on August 29, Ukrainian troops broke through the first line of defense of the Russian invaders near Kherson.
The AFU also took the occupiers in Kharkiv region into a circle.
On August 30, adviser to the head of the Presidential Office Mykhailo Podoliak said that Ukraine is developing and preparing evacuation routes for residents of the temporarily occupied Crimea who want to leave the peninsula during its active liberation.
