Almost 43,000 people leave Ukraine on August 17
On August 17, a total of 86,000 people and 19,000 vehicles crossed Ukraine's western border with the EU and Moldova.
That follows from a statement by the Western regional office of the State Border Service.
Almost 43,000 people left Ukraine last day.
A total of 24,000 of them crossed the border with Poland, the rest went to other EU countries and Moldova.
More than 43,000 people came to Ukraine over the past day, 39,000 of them were the citizens of Ukraine.
Also, 57 trucks with humanitarian aid were registered in one day.
As of 9 a.m., August 18, lines at the border with neighboring countries for departure from Ukraine were recorded at the following checkpoints:
The Republic of Poland:
Ustyluh - 30 passenger cars, 0 buses (pedestrians are not allowed to pass).
Uhryniv - 50 passenger cars, 2 buses, 0 pedestrians (pedestrians are allowed to exit only for the purpose of evacuation).
Rava-Ruska - 50 passenger cars, 15 buses, 0 pedestrians (pedestrians are only allowed to exit for the purpose of evacuation).
Krakivets - 80 passenger cars, 7 buses (pedestrians are not allowed to pass).
Shehyni - 65 passenger cars, 0 buses, 0 pedestrians (pedestrians can pass in both directions).
The Slovak Republic:
Uzhhorod - 15 passenger cars, 0 buses, 0 pedestrians (pedestrians are only allowed to exit).
Hungary:
Tysa - 25 passenger cars, 5 buses (pedestrians are not allowed to pass).
Vylok - 10 passenger cars, 0 pedestrians.
Romania:
Porubne - 70 passenger cars, 0 buses, 0 pedestrians.
As reported by Ukrainian News Agency, on August 17, the Krakivets checkpoint in Lviv region resumes the movement of buses leaving Ukraine.
