Russian Losses For August 9 Increase By 160 To 42,800 Killed, Equipment By 9 Aircraft, 15 Tanks And 9 Drones

Losses of personnel of Russian troops for August 9 increased by 160 to 42,800 killed, and the Ukrainian military last day destroyed 9 aircraft, 15 tanks and 9 drones.

This is stated in the message of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

The enemy lost 9 aircraft (total - 232), 15 tanks (total - 1,832), 10 armored fighting vehicles (total - 4,086), 7 artillery systems (total - 971), 7 units of vehicles and tank trucks (total - 3,005), 2 units of special equipment (total - 89) and 9 drones (total - 766).

Since the beginning of the war, the enemy has also lost 193 helicopters, 261 units of MLRS, 133 air defense systems, 185 cruise missiles and 15 ships/boats.

The enemy suffered the greatest losses in the Donetsk direction.           

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on August 8, the losses of personnel of Russian troops increased by 300 to 42,640 killed, equipment - by 1 helicopter, 3 missiles and 3 drones.
