Ukraine Launches Antidumping Investigation Against Imports Of Tubes Originating In China

The Interagency Commission for International Trade of Ukraine has launched antidumping investigation against imports of tubes originating in China.

The Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine announced this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

The statement reads that the Interagency Commission for International Trade adopted the decision on May 14.

The antidumping investigation addresses seamless hot finished tubes originating in China.

According to a Ukrainian manufacturer, in 2018 the prices of imported seamless hot finished tubes originating in China were lower than the prime cost of pipes manufactured in Ukraine.

In 2018, the imports of seamless hot finished tubes originating in China increased by 356% in comparison with 2015.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in March 2019, exportation of steel pipes increased by 14.7% or USD 7.709 million year over year to USD 60.272 million, and their import rose by 16.9% or USD 2.097 million year over year to USD 14.473 million.
