PGO Removes Lutsenko As Prosecutor In Case Of Yanukovych

The Prosecutor General's Office has removed Prosecutor General Yurii Lutsenko from the group of prosecutors appointed for the case of former president Viktor Yanukovych accused of high treason.

Prosecutor Ruslan Kravchenko announced this in the court on Wednesday, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

The document submitted to the court does not explain why Yurii Lutsenko removed from the group of prosecutors.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, at the December 7, 2017 meeting, the Obolonskyi District Court of Kyiv announced about intention to invite for questioning as witnesses under the Yanukovych case President Petro Poroshenko, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) Oleksandr Turchynov, Minister of the Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov, Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada Andriy Parubiy and other top officials.
