Naftogaz Likely To Start Buying Gas From Gazprom In March

The Naftogaz of Ukraine national joint-stock company is likely to start purchasing natural gas from Gazprom (the Russian Federation) in March 2018.

Chairperson of the Naftogaz of Ukraine national joint-stock company Andrii Kobolev said this to journalists at a press conference in Vinnytsia.

"We held several rounds of negotiations. We expect this month to get execution of the Stockholm court's decision over the purchase-sale provisions of the contract. And if this is done, we hope we can start purchasing gas from Gazprom in March," Kobolev said.

He also said that there was ready a draft agreement on purchase of gas to be signed by Naftogaz and Gazprom.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Chairperson of the Naftogaz of Ukraine national joint-stock company Andrii Kobolev had stated that Naftogaz planned to start buying natural gas from Gazprom (Russia) in the first quarter of 2018.
