Term Of Saakashvili's House Arrest Expires

Lawyers of former president of Georgia / former chairperson of the Odesa Regional State Administration / leader of the New Forces Movement political party Mikheil Saakashvili states that the term of his house arrest expired on Tuesday, February 6.

Saakashvili's lawyer Ruslan Chornolutskyi has written this on Facebook, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on December 10, 2017, judge of the Pecherskyi District Court of Kyiv Larysa Tsokol refused to rule round-the-clock house arrest for Saakashvili.

The ruling was cancelled by the Appeal Court on January 26, and the former president of Georgia was placed under nighttime house arrest.
